Pupils Aim High Following GCSE Results

Bech Hall School is celebrating success as its pupils collected their GCSE results on Thursday 22 August.

Pupils performed incredibly well with 100% securing five or more GCSEs at grades 9-4. The school additionally boasts a 92% pass rate for English and Maths.

After excelling in their GCSEs, pupils from Beech Hall School will now fulfil their aspirations by achieving much-coveted places at leading sixth form colleges.  

Senior Head Girl, Sian Turner (16) received an outstanding 7GCSEs, including a 6 in Art and Design.  Sian will now take her talents to study Animal Management at Reaseheath College, supporting her long-term goal to work with wolves!  

Senior prefect, Alfie Stokes, achieved eight GCSEs, including an outstanding 8 in English Language.He will now go on to achieve his ambition to study A-Levels including English Language.

Throughout his concluding year at Beech Hall School, Alfie held the much-coveted position of Senior Prefect. He was additionally awarded with the ‘Hanson Award’ during this year’s Prize Giving, an accolade inspired by the words of the American poet, Ralph Waldo Emerson, “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”

Alfie’s mother, Ms Claire Daley commented: “Alfie has experienced an amazing journey over the last couple of years since joining in Year 9. He is a determined young man and I am excited for his future. Thank you to Beech Hall School for being such an integral part of his personal and academic growth.

Senior pupil, Sarah Nichols, received a highly-commendable eight GCSEs, which saw her obtain the highest grades in this year’s cohort in Science, Art and Design, and English Language.

Year 10 pupil, Melissa achieved an impressive grade 8 in her French GCSE after she sat the exam a year early. 

Headmaster at Beech Hall School, James Allen commented: We are incredibly pleased that our pupils, despite some having previous negative educational experiences, have developed a positive attitude to learning during their time at Beech Hall, enabling them to now embark on their chosen course of study.

Their determination and hard work has been rewarded with fantastic individual results, particularly in regards to the value-added achievements, the difference between what the pupils were predicted to achieve in relation to what they attained.We are very proud of their achievements and wish them the best of luck for the future, and as they look forward to their next stage of learning.”
