GCSE & Beyond

Pupils are taught effective study techniques and we hold Easter revision courses.

There are many options available to our pupils after GCSE. These can include either sixth form colleges or sixth forms at both boarding and day independent schools. Parents are welcome to discuss post 16 options with the Headmaster or the Head of the Senior School.

In 2008 our first cohort of pupils took GCSE. 87% achieved five or more GCSEs at grades A* - C, which is noticeably above the local and national averages. There was a 100% success rate in Maths, PE and D&T. These results were generally encouraging, especially as we are a non selective school. Even so, our aim is to achieve a 100% five or more GCSEs at grades A* - C.
