Creative Pupil Spreads Festive Spirit

Beech Hall pupil, Austin O’Connor, has been highly-praised for his artistic talent as his festive design was specially selected by the headmaster, for the school’s official Christmas card this year.

Austin (9), created a spectacular card awash with festive colours, after taking inspiration from a picture he admired in the art class room at the Tytherington-based school.

The captivating design depicted a happy reindeer amongst the snow, securing Austin the much-coveted first place prize. The card has been distributed to friends and family of the school, with Austin’s name and age displayed on the back to give much-deserved recognition.

Austin commented, “I love drawing and art, it’s one of my favourite subjects. I was excited to be selected by the headmaster for my Christmas card.”

Headmaster James Allen commented, “The competition for this year’s Christmas card design was incredibly tough however, Austin’s portrayal of Christmas was highly-commendable. We are very proud to have Austin’s artwork represent our school.”
